Andrew McGuire
Student Minister & Building Manager
Andrew joined the MBC staff in January of 2008 as the Young Adult Pastor. Andrew was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma but lived most of his life in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. He asked God into his heart when he was six years old and fully surrendered to the ministry when he was seventeen.
Andrew has been serving God in the church since 2000, serving in various volunteer, part-time, and full-time positions in student ministry, children’s ministry, and college ministry. He enjoys serving God no matter what area of ministry, and his main objective is to see people grow in their relationships with the Lord. Andrew started his college career at TCC and received a BA in Speech Communications from Northeastern State University. Andrew also enjoys spending time with his wife Meg and his daughters Sarah and Lillian.
Children should be checked in at the Kid’s Desk in the lobby before going upstairs to the children’s ministry area. Bible study classes begin at 9 am on Sundays, and we also offer a service especially geared for children in our children’s ministry area upstairs (K-5th grade) during the worship service at 10:30 am. This is a kid-friendly, God-focused worship time available just for kids during the sermon time, and we will always go play on our awesome playground during this time anytime weather permits!
Alternatively, your children are welcome to stay with you in the service. We do think it is important to have the whole church together, so on the first Sunday of each month, the children stay with us in the sanctuary for Family Sunday. On this Sunday, children are invited to come to the stage for a briref children’s message with Pastor Jacob.
Bible Club for kids meets on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm. This is a time devoted to learning Bible stories and memorizing Scripture.
For safety and security, the children’s and youth hallway will be locked 10 minutes after a service begins.
VBS!
Vacation Bible School is one of the most exciting weeks of the year as children learn about God and His Word through small group Bible studies, games, crafts, issions, snacks, music, worship adn more! VBS is for children 4 years old through 5th grade.
