New Members' Class
Our new members’ class is a continuous three week-long class being offered every three months for those that are new Christians, those transferring membership from another church and for anyone just wanting to know more about how MBC operates and what we believe.
Session One - Who We Are: Scripture & discussion focused on salvation, baptism, Lord’s Supper, becoming a mature Christian and writing salvation statements. At the end of this session a tour of the first floor of the church and basement will be given.
Session Two - Terminology and Budget: Christian terms are often misunderstood and confusing. Often used terms will be clearly explained. Reviewing the church budget will emphasize ministries of the church and opportunities of service. Stewardship and tithing will come into focus by reviewing the church budget. At the end of session two a tour of the second floor will be given.
Session Three - Church Covenant and Baptist Faith & Message: Reviewing these documents and learning about missionaries we support; Introducing Lottie Moon and Annie Armstrong offerings, LifeWay Christian Resources and Southern Baptist Seminaries. At the end of session three a tour of the Youth houses, Missionary home, Activity Center and parking lots will be given. (A golf cart will be used for transportation as needed.)
