Inside the Turning Hearts Conference
The Turning Hearts Conference is NOT just another youth event or parenting conference. The Turning Hearts is an event for FAMILIES that provides an opportunity for parents and teens to grow closer TOGETHER and closer to the Lord!
Throughout this event students and parents will attend general sessions that provide time for worship, conversation and prayer! During these times Dr. Ross will work to provide an environment that will help families get to know God and each other better.
The breakout sessions will help parents and students have a better understanding of each other and how to honor God through that relationship.
The event is divided into three very important segments.
- Forgiving: Students and parents will be challenged to look at the biblical mandate and example of forgiveness. Whether working through a lifetime of hurt and bitterness or dealing with daily anger and disagreements, participants will walk through the necessity of forgiveness in healthy relationships.
- Living: Students and parents will focus on the importance of students and parents having a deep, meaningful relationship with each other. Students and parents will learn tools that will help them live in healthy relationships with one another.
- Turning: Students and parents will focus on the need to turn their hearts toward God and toward each other. Families will learn the significance of dedicating their lives and their homes to the Lord. The family will commit to growing relationships with God and each other through daily prayer, devotion and meaningful conversations with each other.
The two-day conference will be filled with times of family worship, conversation and valuable information. The event will culminate in a commitment service that will challenge families to commit to and pray over the head of each household. The parents will then be challenged to lead as Christ would. God has used this service as a spiritual marker and life-changing experience all over the country.
