Frequently Asked Questions
Who can attend? What is the age limit? This Turning Hearts Conference is geared toward parents, middle school, high schol, and college-age students.
Can my pre-teen attend? The conference is directed at those who are teenagers. Sixth graders who are not yet teenagers are welcome to attend. Some fifth graders have attended past Turning Hearts events. That would be the exception but not the rule.
Is this conference for hurting families only? What if my family is healthy? A significant focus of the event is to help "healthy" families grow even closer to each other and to Christ. Most families that have attended are actively involved in the life of their church. Several students and parents from "normal" families sent testimonies of how the tour has positively impacted their family relationships.
What if I am a single parent? Families come in many shapes and sizes that are often-times beyond our control. Single parents are encouraged to come with their students and will be lifted up in their proper role as head-of-household!
Can students attend without a parent? We strongly encourage family involvement. If one or more parents are unable to attend, we suggest that students come with a person of authority in their place (teacher, coach, youth worker, adult friend, etc.) These mentors can fill the gap for students that come without parents.
